Two American street musicians. One goal: to rock the party. Ladies Rock Night with Ginger and Renée is a crazy duo who will play just about anything on accordion, guitar, stomp box, and ukuleles. Ginger and Renée met for the first time playing music on the streets of Hamburg, Germany. United by their love of busking and trashy 80s music, they joined forces to get the rock party on the roll and get the ladies out on the dance floor. Because where the Ladies are dancing, the boys will follow!
Renée de la Prade
– With one boot in folk and one boot in rock, San Francisco-born Renée
de la Prade follows in the footsteps of artists like Shane McGowan and Angus
Young... but on accordion, stomp-box and baritone ukulele. She also throws in
some Cajun spice, soul music and reggae, even sea shanties; anything that will
start a good party and keep it grooving.
Ginger Wade – the brassy blonde with
a punk rock attitude and an oversized voice to match. Spawned from New York
City’s RiotGrrl underground, Ginger has evolved into a global nomad with
an acoustic guitar and a tiny ukelele bass, her style spanning blues to pop
to rock ‘n’ roll, from Bessie Smith to Poly Styrene and everything
in between.

LADIES ROCK NIGHT mit Ginger und Renée sind ein verrücktes US-Straßenmusikerinnen-Rock-Duo die auf ihren Akkordeon, Stomp-Boxen und Ukulelen so ziemlich alles spielen, was Laune macht. Ginger und Renée trafen sich zum ersten Mal beim Musizieren auf den Straßen von Hamburg. Vereint durch ihre Liebe zu Straßenmusik und trashigem 80er-Jahre-Rock'n'Roll haben sie sich zusammengetan, um die Rockparty ins Rollen zu bringen und die Damen auf die Tanzfläche zu locken.
Renée de la Prade (accordion/ukelele/vox/stompbox) – Mit einem höhe Stiefel im Folk und dem anderen im Rock steht die in San Francisco geborene in der Tradition von Musikern wie Shane McGowan und Angus Young … nur eben an Akkordion, Stompbox und Ukulele. Sie wirft manchmal auch noch eine Prise Cajun, Soul, Reggae und sogar Shanties mit in die Suppe. Eben alles, was Party macht und groovt.
Ginger Wade (ukebass/vox/guitar) – Aus dem New Yorker RiotGrrl Underground stammend, hat sich die Messingblonde mit Punkrock-Attitüde und übergroßer Stimme in eine globale Nomadin verwandelt, die ihrer Akustikgitarre und Ukulele-Bass alles von Blues über Pop zu Rock’n’Roll, von Bessie Smith zu Poly Styrene entlocken kann.
